Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I get started?

The first step to take is to complete the form on the "contact me" page. You will then be contacted to discuss your needs and how Raise Me Well can help. You will have the opportunity to talk about what you need and ask questions. Then a formal assessment will be scheduled and conducted, plans will be made to address your concerns, and Dr. Edwards will guide you in implementing the strategies discussed. You will receive both verbal and written descriptions of our conversations to help you remember all that was discussed and to refer to in between consultations.

2. How do I know if I need this service?

Consultation would be helpful for most anyone who is looking for some support and guidance with their children. Concerns may range from "Am I doing the best thing for them?" to "I am having serious concerns about their behavior…" Consultation is not always the answer. Some families and kids have more serious mental disturbances that require intensive therapy or medication. Consultation is to assist you in making improvements in specific areas with your parenting or in the more general approach you are taking with your kids.

3. How do I know what package is right for me?

The free initial contact can help you determine this answer. If you are not sure how much you need, you can purchase a smaller package and always add on additional follow-up calls or consultations. If you would prefer to use the service hourly, that is an option as well.

4. How do I pay for the services?

All major credit cards are accepted as a form of payment. Payment is expected before services are provided. If you would prefer to pay by check, it can be mailed as long as it is received before the consultation occurs. Credit card is the simplest, fastest way to pay and allow you to get started right away.

5. How much does it cost?

The cost varies depending on the need. You will get information about cost during the free, ten-minute, initial contact.

6. Can I use insurance to pay?

Unfortunately, insurance companies do not cover this type of service at this time.

7. Can I call to discuss options?

You can complete the "contact me" form and I will call you as soon as possible and as close to the designated time you list as possible to discuss options.

8. Can I meet with you in person?

Consultations are only provided over the phone or internet at this time. This physical limitation actually allows for more flexibility in being able to provide this service and overcome some potential obstacles with having to meet face to face.

9. What if I have more questions?

If they are not listed above, you are out of luck. Just kidding. Please complete the "contact me" form and I will be glad to answer any other questions you have during the free, initial, ten-minute consultation.
